On Monday, 5^th August, 2024, Ms. Beryl Lihavi (Reg. No. MBA/G/01-70021/2020) and Mr. Ashiali Temesi Godfrey (Reg. No. MBA/G/01-54026/2019) successfully defended their Master’s Theses. The theses are titled ‘Internal Audit Independence and Effectiveness in Public TVET Institutions in Western Region Kenya’ and ‘Influence of Financial Risk Factors on Financial Performance of Microfinance Institutions in Kenya’ respectively.

These theses were examined and reports from both external and internal examiners were received by the Directorate of Postgraduate Studies (DPS), which is headed by Prof. Stephen Odebero. Ms. Lihavi’s supervisors were Prof. Charles Tibbs and Dr. Fredrick Kiongera, while Mr. Ashiali’s supervisors were Dr. Maniagi Musiega and Dr. Mary Nelima.

The postgraduate students are from the School of Business and Economics (SOBE).
